Chakana Estate Selection

Malbec

Said Robert Parker:

A dense color between blue and purple is expressed in a great sweet and floral bouquet (acacia) with blackberries, blueberries, coffee and white chocolate.

Said Wine Spectator:

A dense blue/purple color is followed by a big, sweet, floral (acacias), blueberry, blackberry, coffee, and white chocolate-scented bouquet. Remarkably rich and heady, with a full-bodied mouthfeel as well as silky tannins.

Said Steven Tanzer:

Blackberry, black cherry and licorice aromas are complicated by bitter choco- late, menthol, black pepper and nutty oak. Juicy and energetic in the mouth, with well-integrated acidity and a black peppery pungency giving the wine plenty of definition. Energetic wine with fine-grained tannins and good back-end focus and lift.
